The Amazonian - Amazonian Pirarucu Leather Bomber
Pirarucu scales are the size of a thumbnail and overlap like roof tiles, so Théo Galbert lays the skins out before he cuts anything and moves the pattern across the hide until the rows fall exactly where the sleeve will bend. Under the hand the leather is cool and faintly ridged, closer to river stone than to hide, and the bomber holds it short and clean, ribbed at the cuff, letting the scales run the length of the arm.
