A serpent in gold thread, embroidered by hand so it undulates across the chest of a black cotton t-shirt. Each scale is worked as a separate stitch so the body catches light in a broken line as the wearer moves. The cotton is heavy and soft; the gold is smooth, slightly raised, and cool under the thumb.
